CANYON LAKE: Hit and run kills man

On Saturday, Dec. 14, around 2:17 a.m., Officers from the Canyon Lake Police Department responded to a report of a man down on Railroad Canyon Road. Responding deputies located an adult male deceased in the roadway. Evidence indicated the subject had been struck by a vehicle.
The deceased was identified as local resident Scott Bolger, 32.
A preliminary investigation revealed Bolger had been a patron at a local Canyon Lake tavern/restaurant with a friend prior to walking home. He stepped off the sidewalk and into the eastbound number three lane of Railroad Canyon Road where he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
